Laser Procedures Q & A

What is Radio Frequency (RF) MicroNeedling?

INTRAcel RF- microneedling administers radio-frequency (RF) energy via needles the diameter of a hair. The INTRAcel delivers radiofrequency energy to selectable skin depths. INTRAcel effectively treats fine lines, wrinkles, loose skin, stretch marks, scars, acne scars and stimulates collagen production.

How many treatments will I need?

You may notice improvement after one treatment but best results come with 2-3 treatments. Our doctors will recommend the appropriate amount of treatments based on your skin condition.

When will results be evident?

You will notice best results six to eight weeks following treatment. Although you may notice improvements after one treatment.

Will I be comfortable during treatment?

Our doctors are very concerned about your comfort. Patients apply lidocaine cream one hour prior to treatment. Local blocks are also administered for more aggressive treatment. This is something you can discuss with the doctor prior to treatment. There are many options available to keep you comfortable.

Is INTRAcel microneedling safe for all skin types?

Yes, it is safe for all skin types because of the ability to control the depth of the micro-needles. This versatility makes it safe for all skin types.

MicroLaserPeel Revitalizes Sun-Damaged Skin

MicroLaserPeel (MLP) treatment is a great way to refresh dull and sun damaged skin. The doctors do laser peels at various intensities. For example, an Artic Peel done at 10 microns of depth clears surface sun damage, brightens the skin, and improves texture with minimal downtime. You will have a few days of redness followed by mild peeling. Our doctors often do deeper peels to better repair sun-damaged skin. Deeper peels add more time to recovery. Our doctors customize your treatment plan according to what you need and want.

Frequently, Broadband Light treatment is added to a customized treatment plan to further treat age spots, skin discoloration and broken blood vessels. Results are noticeable and lovely.

Will I Be Comfortable During Treatment?

Yes. We prescribe a lidocaine product to apply prior to treatment. The doctors also inject sensitive areas with lidocaine to insure your comfort.

Can I Wear Makeup After Treatment?

You can usually wear makeup the next day after a lighter treatment. However, a deeper peel would have several days of recovery before applying cosmetics.

Laser Facial Rejuvenation

Customized Laser Rejuvenation repairs wrinkled, sun damaged and saggy skin.

Our laser rejuvenation program gets rid of fine lines and wrinkles, resolves sun damage and facial spider veins, noticeably tightens saggy skin and flattens acne scars! This treatment program gives you smoother and younger looking skin with little or no loss of work time.

Our doctors’ tailor a program specific to your skin needs. A customized rejuvenation involves two to three different lasers for one great price.

You can choose whether or not you want a series of minimum downtime treatments, or a more aggressive treatment program that involves more recovery time.

Will I Have to Take Time off From work?

Most of the lasers used in rejuvenation cause only a day or two of redness. You can cover the redness with cosmetics.

How Long Do Skin improvements Last?

Depending on how you take care of your skin, improvements can last a number of years. It’s important to protect yourself while in the sun, and to use quality skin care products to prolong and enhance your result. Ask about our doctor selected and customized skincare products for healthy luminous skin.

Does Laser Rejuvenation Improve the Appearance of Scars?

Absolutely! Laser rejuvenation works by remodeling and building up collagen. Collagen is a naturally occurring substance that makes skin supple and provides support. Laser treatment flattens the scar and then collagen rebuilds in a healthy way.

Can you rejuvenate other areas of the body?

Yes, and this is where laser rejuvenation gets lovely. The Skin Tyte laser tightens skin wherever it droops, broad band light reduces age spots on arms and legs, and we use the Fraxel Laser on hands to remove discoloration and wrinkles.

Pigmented Lesions

*Individual results may vary

BBL BroadBand Light technology and MicroLaserPeel (MLP) treat sun-damaged and aging skin effectively. The light energy delivered by the BBL will gently be absorbed by the unwanted melanin responsible for pigmented lesions in the upper layers of the skin. Over the next few days the pigmented lesions will darken and fall off. MicroLaserPeel works differently. It is an intra-epidermal laser peel that precisely remove the outermost layers of the skin. Pigmented lesions can be removed by full-face or spot-treat superficial resurfacing. Either procedure allows patients to experience quick recovery with smoother, healthier, more vibrant skin, and a change in skin texture and tightness.
